Dog and Bone Night in Aid of MADRA

Monroe’s Live will host a new fundraising club night on Friday, December 23rd, in aid of the Connemara based dog rescue and adoption service, MADRA.

The Dog and Bone Night is a club night with a twist, with revelers being invited to participate in an interactive SMS donation campaign in return for free tunes from DJ Will Softly and DJ Techbot. Both DJ’s will offer a mix of worldwide future fun, eclectic breaks, sample mash-ups and blazing dance floor beats.

The event is being organised by EMC23.com, the web design company who are responsible for the development and management of the MADRA website www.madra.ie.

Speaking about the event, Rob Stocker of EMC23.com explained the idea behind the Dog and Bone night: “We wanted to create a fun event where people could let their hair down after all of the Christmas shopping stress is over. We contacted iDonate in order to facilitate SMS donations for MADRA which will allow punters the opportunity to donate on the night or at a later date when the financial strain of Christmas is over” he said.

“For those who cannot make it to the club night but would like to support this MADRA pre-Christmas appeal, text idonate madra to 57777; texts cost 1.50. A small amount can make a big difference to the many dogs that are abandoned at this time of year” he added.

MADRA is a charity dedicated to finding new homes for unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs. MADRA is a volunteer run organisation, relying heavily on donations to cover the annual running costs which are in excess of €100,000.
